Dear resident,
I wanted to share with you some of the work that’s happened over the last six days.
Thursday 11th of September was our first shift back on our working week and it began by working with our partners from North Yorkshire Council to conduct several housing visits. One notable visit was to a tenant who was issued with an Acceptable Behaviour Contract after reports of them acting in an anti-social behaviour manner.
On Friday, it was more housing visits, however this time it was with our partners from Yorkshire Housing.
Following this it was onto making enquiries into a stolen motor vehicle from the York Road area of Tadcaster. I’m happy to report that said vehicle has now been located.
Saturday was the start of the weekend for many; however, the work continued for the neighbourhood team and this time it was to assist our colleagues from the Response Unit as well as patrolling our ‘hot spot’ areas.
On Monday we acted on information about a vehicle with document offences and said vehicle was located and issued with a traffic offence report.
During the shift we also took time to do some good old fashioned foot patrol around the Woodlands estate area of Tadcaster.
Finally on Tuesday we held one of our many Police surgeries at Costa Coffee with local housing officer Jo Walker and North Yorkshire Councillor, Councillor Kirsty Poskitt. Following this was the monthly Tadcaster Town Council meeting where the council were updated with the latest Police report.
This is just a snapshot of the work that happens, but it is done in aid of making our community a safer place to live and work.
Should you be a victim of crime/anti-social behaviour, or witness such incidents then please report it to us via the Police non-emergency 101. Alternatively report it to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
